  • Export credit insurance: Export Bahrain subsidizes 80% of the premium rate and transaction fees against each export shipment based on pre-defined and approved premium rates as well as covering 80% of the buyer evaluation fees, the application fees and ensures that exporting businesses receive at least 90% reimbursement in the case of default
    • Facilitated in partnership with the Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation “Dhaman”
    • Exporters are required to submit monthly export reports to Dhaman, settle the insurance premiums within 10 working days of the insurance invoice date, and notify Dhaman of any overdue invoices within two months from the maturity date of the insured debt
  • Export financing: Short-term financing and capital requirements for businesses to capture international business opportunities and global growth
    • Facilitated in partnership with Tamkeen
    • Modalities: Asset-based financing, export letters of credit, working capital
    • Tamkeen subsidizes up to 70% of the annual nominal profit rate and 50% of the administrative fee along with the guarantee capped at BHD 125,000
    • The export finance amount ranges from BHD 30,000 to BHD 1 Million with a one-year tenor subject to the Bank’s policy

  • Export Shipping & Logistics: Export Bahrain’s integrated shipping and logistics solution provides exclusive offers below market rates on shipments including land, sea and air transportation
  • International Retail Buyer Initiative: Exclusive offers and discounts to products made in Bahrain on the retail shelves of local and international branches
  • E-commerce Facilitation: Enables businesses to access and list their products and services on prominent e-commerce platforms and facilitate transaction-based support
  • Internationalization & Export Advisory Support: Facilitations to physically branch out into new markets through providing guidance and solutions to new and prospective exporters seeking to access global opportunities
  • Export Market Intelligence: Statistics and figures to enable exporters access more resources about international markets
  • Export Workshops: Workshops with the aim to help exporters gain the required awareness, insight and knowledge to make the most of the opportunities of exporting by industry experts
  • Export Readiness Tool: Online diagnostic tool designed for new exporters, to assess how export-ready they are
  • Exporters Directory: National exporter database and connectivity platform to showcase, promote and enhance visibility for the products and services made in Bahrain to support B2B, B2C and B2G deals
  • Export eLearning: Suite of trade-focused online learning modules that are easy to access and will help SMEs gain the necessary knowledge and skills to grow

  • The ‘Made in Bahrain’ initiative acknowledges products made in Bahrain and aims at developing domestic exports to ensure that local products and services are promoted and recognized in international markets
    • Local businesses who register will have their products be distinguished abroad by buyers from international markets via this trademark
    • Items produced are made of 35% or more of domestic content
