Products


  • Covers financing to foreign buyers of goods and services
  • Cover:
    • Up to 95% in most cases
    • Up to 100% for SME guarantees (transactions with SME exporters on order up to DKK 25 million)
  • Tenor:
    • Up to 18 years for water and renewable energy projects
    • Up to 10 years for other types of transactions
    • Between 180 days and 5 years for SME guarantees
  • Typically, foreign buyer makes a minimum prepayment of 15% of the order amount
  • The contract guarantee insures against loss if the exporter has delivered part of a major project but is prevented from completing the project and receiving payment for it:
    • Up to 90% cover
    • Tenor: Over 180 days
    • Premium based on transaction risk
  • Working capital guarantees:
    • Up to 80% cover
    • Tenor: Up to 3 years
    • Premium based on company's creditworthiness
  • Bond guarantees offer protection against significant loss, if the customer makes an unjustified call on exporter's bond such as a bid bond, an advance payment bond or a performance bond
  • Additional requirements in respect of company size, environmental and social impact, etc.
  • Follows OECD guidelines regarding tenor, legal and financial due diligence, and permitted tenors
  • Offered in the same types of export transactions as when EIFO offers a guarantee for financing of foreign buyers and projects
  • Tenor: Minimum 2 years
  • Loans may be made to start-ups in the very early stage of their development as well as the more mature companies planning to invest in operation, development or change of ownership
  • Loans may be made directly or in partnership with a bank
  • Direct loans from EIFO may be up to 50 per cent of the total financing
  • Business angel matching loans are also available
  • Basic requirements:
    • Borrower must be creditworthy
    • Borrower must help to generate economic growth in Denmark
  • Investment guarantees for Danish companies that are going to invest or have invested in a subsidiary abroad and wish to be protected against loss caused by political instability in the country
  • Equity investment for young, innovative, and highly scalable Danish companieswith an ambition for global growth
  • Investments in venture funds who can provide Danish enterprises with capital, competences, and knowledge and insurance of investments in venture and buyout funds via the three fund-of-funds, Dansk Vækstkapital and Dansk Vækstkapital II and Dansk Vækstkapital III, all established as a collaboration between the Danish state, the pension funds, and a number of other investors

Policies


  • Loan and guarantee scheme for the reconstruction of Ukraine:
    • DKK 1 billion in the form of loans and guarantees for Danish companies who wish to contribute to the reconstruction of the war-torn country
    • The fund will primarily be reserved for reconstruction of critical infrastructure, i.e. supply of water, heat and electricity as well as Danish export of, among others, farm equipment
  • Green Accelerator:
    • Seed-funding for sustainable export projects
    • In order to obtain support for a specific export project, an alliance between minimum two Danish companies must be formed and the export project must be related to the export of green Danish solutions
  • The financeable amount is based on a calculation of Danish Economic Interest
